LADY SPARTANS ARE CHAMPS

The Lady Spartans girls basketball team defeated the Tenino Beavers on Monday, Feb. 4, 46-34 to win the Southwest Washington League, Evergreen Division. The win gave the team a 10-0 league record, and 15-2 overall tally.
By winning the  conference championship the team secured a bye in the league tournament. They are scheduled to play the No. 4  team that comes out of the Trico League in Southwest Washington District playoffs. Rochester High School is currently in fourth place.
The first district game is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 13  at 8 p.m. in Centralia.
Graduating seniors Madison Justus, Maegan Leppell and Julie Stevenson played their final game at home before a full house, and were honored prior to the Senior Night game.
Madison Justus led the team in scoring with 15 points, Leppell had 12, and Alexa Justus scored 10, Stevenson four.
