The Forks Forum was first published around 1931 as an independent weekly, letter-press broadsheet serving the rural logging and farming towns in and around Forks, and the Quileute and Hoh tribal communities located on the West End of the Olympic Peninsula. Throughout its history the Forum has been notable as the “Farthest west newspaper in the contiguous United States.” Beginning in 2007, www.forksforum.com became an internationally-read news website for fans of the wildly popular teenage vampire romance “Twilight” books and movies, as fictional “Twilight” is set in real-life Forks, LaPush and Port Angeles. The Forum is still the west end’s only hometown newspaper, reaching 5,000 homes each week.
