The Piecemakers Quilt Club opened up the three-day RainFest weekend with the opening of their quilting show "Fabric of the Forest" in the Forks High School Auxiliary Gym on Friday afternoon, April 20. The quilting show, quilting lessons and talks are being held Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the gym and at the First Baptist Church in Forks. In addition, the American Heroes play and quilt display is open at the Peninsula College Forks Extension. 
 
In the community hall at Forks Congregational Church the nationally-renowned "The Supper" quilt is on display with its maker, Don Locke, visiting Forks from his home in Texas. Pictured with Locke are interested Forks residents Boyce Woody and her daughter Wilda Blankenship. The Supper Quilt website shows that over 750,000 people have viewed the Supper Quilt since it was completed in 1999. The quilt is made up of 51,816 half-inch squares, and is 67 inches high and 183 inches wide. Go to www.thesupper.net for more information. The Supper Quilt will be on display from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 21, and its maker is giving a talk about how he made the quilt at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 22 at the Forks Congregational Church.
