ILWACO — The Forks boys wrestling team picked up a trio of first-place finishes and won the Ilwaco Beach Brawl on Saturday.
Forks won with 146.5 team points, beating out Castle Rock’s 130. A total of 11 teams participated in the tournament.
Winning their weight classes for the Spartans were Walker Rondeau at 132 pounds, Jake Weakley at 152 pounds and Nate Dahlgren at 170. All three wrestlers went 3-0 on the day.
Forks picked up a pair of second-place finishes — Conner Demorest (3-2 on the day) at 126 pounds and Sloan Tumaua (2-1) at 220 pounds.
Finishing third were Jesus Garcia Dominguez at 113 pounds, Walker Wheeler at 145 pounds and Mason Leinan at 182 pounds. Hector Dominguez finished fourth at 220 pounds.
For the girls, Forks’ Natalie Horejsi came in third in her group, going 4-1 on the day, while Alexis Koskela finished sixth.
