So if you happened downtown last week you may have noticed that it was time for the annual Forever Twilight in Forks Festival. First off …I have never read the books or seen the movies …although when I see that they are on TV I will pop in and just watch for a few moments. It is just not my thing …but if it is someone else’s thing? then I don’t mind ….I am sure there are things I like to do that others would have no interest in …like reading old newspapers for hours …transcribing historical records and sitting outside with my chickens.
Anyway even though I am not a fan I do volunteer each year for a few hours here and there. This year I did a walking history tour downtown …Twilight fans want to know everything about Forks. I also spent a few hours at the photo and autograph session on Friday; taking photos of fans with the three Twilight movie actors.
The three actors, Billy Burke, Maggie Grace and Erik Odom, were great and so gracious to their fans.
While taking the fan photos I also had my camera and took a few photos of the activities.
I also want to say that the fans were also fan-tastic. Some of the best … were dads and daughters who made the trip together.
So now it is over …things will quiet down …the rain will start and I can go back to reading old newspapers, transcribing historical records, and spending time with my chickens.
