Upper Hoh Road Construction

Construction Activities and

Upcoming Work

Over the past couple of weeks, Interwest Construction, Inc. (ICI), set up the stream diversion and dewatered the stream channel under the Tower Creek Bridge. They then completed the streambed reconstruction, which included excavating and shaping the stream banks, placing riprap for scour protection, and re-placing the streambed sediment and boulders. Last Monday, ICI removed the Tower Creek stream diversion and re-watered the reconstructed section of creek.

Over the coming weeks, ICI will perform multiple season close-out activities including, roadway striping, guardrail installation, permanent erosion control devices, hydroseeding and ELJ willow plantings.
