The Rainforest Council for the Arts has a busy weekend planned at the Rainforest Arts Center, 35 N. Forks Ave. The first-ever Makers Market will be held on Saturday, Nov. 12.
There will be about 30 artists/craftspeople selling an amazing array of handmade items! From walking sticks to knitted hats, this will be a good opportunity to do your Christmas shopping. Or treat yourself to a special item or two!
Later that same evening, the local band Therapy Session will give a concert at 7 p.m. They play a mix of country, blues, folk, and rock. Admission is free but there will be a tip jar and treats.
On Sunday, Nov. 13, there will be Family Art from noon – 3 p.m. Supplies and assistance will be provided for all ages to make cards and paint ornaments. There is no charge for this event.
These activities are supported by various funders including the Walkling Trust, the Lloyd Allen Trust, the Phillips Foundation, and Forks Lodging Tax Funds.
This assistance enables the Rainforest Council for the Arts to provide exposure to the arts and music at no cost to the public.
