Spring hasn’t sprung yet, but it is just around the corner and it’s time to think about what to put in your garden this year. So, break out your calendar and mark off Saturday, May 6th from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. as busy—it’s the Master Gardener Foundation of Clallam County Spring Plant Sale at the beautiful Woodcock Demonstration Garden, 2711 Woodcock Road in Sequim. Bargain hunters take note—the half-price sale is from 1-3 p.m., so if you can delay your gratification, you can save some green when you are buying some greens! Master Gardeners will be there to answer your gardening questions with a smile while helping you choose the best plants for your garden.

We’ve got a wide variety of vegetable starts including tomatoes, peppers (both sweet and hot), cucumbers, zucchini, winter squash, herbs and greens all lovingly fussed over by Clallam County Master Gardeners. For your landscaping, we have native shrubs and saplings like snowberry, grand fir, Pacific ninebark, red flowering currant, thimbleberry, twinberry, mock orange, ocean spray and red-osier dogwood. Petal lovers will enjoy flowering favorites like azaleas, cosmos, dahlias, primrose and sunflowers. Also for sale is an eclectic selection of succulents, ground covers, ornamental grasses—even fig trees! If your interior spaces need greening up, choose from our expanded houseplant selection with popular offerings such as aloe vera, holiday cactus, spider plants, inch plants, purple oxalis and more. Don’t forget to stop by the General Store for unique garden gifts and gently used gardening supplies. Petals & Pathways Garden Tour tickets will also be on sale for the early bird price of $15.

All proceeds from the sale will help to maintain the Woodcock Demonstration Garden, the 5th Street Community Garden demonstration in Port Angeles and support the numerous Master Gardener community services such as the Youth Enrichment Program (YEP), Green Thumb Education Series and Digging Deeper presentations.

Cash, checks and credit cards accepted. Parking is available both in the west entrance lot and adjacent to Buttercup Lane.
