Seven girls and 8 boys are on their way to jump, throw, run, and relay in the WIAA State Track Meet in Yakima. Grady Earls qualified in the Long Jump while Nate Dahlgren and Walker Rondeau both qualified in the Javelin placing 3rd and 4th.
Nate also qualified in the discus 129’5 and won the shot put with a throw of 46’5. For the girls, Peyton Johnson and Keana Rowley both qualified in the Javelin placing 5th and 6th.
On the track side, the Spartans qualified 4 out of 5 relays. The girls 4x2of Miley Blanton, Erika Williams, Emery Damron and Leslie Hernandez Beltran will advance placing 3rd with a PR of 1:55.10, and the 4×4 team of Moli Luong, Blanton, Damron and Beltran placing 2nd with a PR of 4:31.38.
On the boys’ side, Camryn Kennedy advanced in the 400 placing 3rd with a PR of 53.45, and both relays advance with the 4×1 team of Ryan Anderson, Grady Earls, Brandon Galeana, and Camryn Kennedy and the 4×4 team of Klaton Helvey, Earls, Noah Foster and Kennedy placing 3rd with a PR of 3:43. It was a great day for the Spartans.
