It was a lovely ceremony that the Soroptimists of the Olympic Rainforest held last Thursday evening, lots of scholarships and awards were given out to community members …more on that hopefully next week.

Nate Dahlgren in the shot (3rd place ) and Camryn Kennedy in the 400 (8th place) Grady Earls and Keana Rowley came so close to a medal both getting 9th place. In Timber Museum news the Ted Spoelstra Calliope has been on a cross-country road trip with Museum Executive Director Bryon Monohon (and Beatrice) all the way to Missouri to be repaired and upgraded …by the time you are reading this they all three should be home. The upgrade will be seen, hopefully, in the 4th of July parade.
Town was busy over the holiday weekend ….
It was a nice Memorial Day Ceremony on Monday, (photos page one) former Forks residents Linda and Phil Arbeiter attended, it was nice to see them. It was a chilly day and as usual, the neighborhood chickens had a lot to say after the gun salute.
Now on with summer ….
