West End Halloween Activities!!!

So many fun things happening.....pumpkin carving contests...costume contests for pets and people...haunted hanger and more....

Family First Center Halloween Party

The Family First Center, 915 S. Forks Ave., is hosting a Halloween party from 4-7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 23. There will be games, crafts and family-friendly activities.

There also will be a costume contest for those that want to dress up, but costumes are not required to attend the party. Concessions will be open and children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Scarecrow Contest

The event also will feature a Scarecrow Contest. Bring your homemade family scarecrow for judging at 6 p.m. Prizes awarded for creativity and originality.

This event is free so come enjoy fun for all ages.

Rain of Terror is Back

The Quillayute Airport hangar is playing host once again to “The Rain of Terror” haunted house. This year’s theme is Psycho Social. Admission is $8 and it is suggested for those 12 and over. Hours of operation are 6 p.m. to midnight and will run Oct. 23 and 24 and Oct. 30 and 31. Funds raised will benefit Sarges Place, Forks Old Fashioned Fourth of July and Pacific Coast Salmon Coalition.

 

Outfitters Pumpkin Carving Contest

Create your most amazing carved pumpkin and take it to the produce department at Outfitters Oct. 26-30. Customers will vote for their favorite and the winner will be announced Oct. 31. Prizes: First $50, second $25 and third $15.

 

PUMPKIN CARVING CONTEST

Children ages 2-16 years can bring their carved pumpkins to Forks Community Hospital’s Spoon’s Cafe by 1:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30, for the chance to win cash prizes. First place will receive $15 and second place $10.

 

Clallam Bay Pumpkin Decoration and Carving Contests

The Clallam Bay Library will host an all-ages pumpkin decorating and carving contest beginning at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28. Decorators and carvers are invited to submit their creations during the library’s opening hours until judging commences at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 31.

Contest rules

All entries must be received no later than 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31. Prizes for Most Unusual and Most Intricate will be awarded in three age divisions: youth (12 and under), young adult (ages 13-17), and adult (18 and older). Only real pumpkins, vegetables and fruit may be used. Artificial craft pumpkins are not eligible.

The Clallam Bay Library is at 16990 Highway 112 in Clallam Bay.

 

“Truck” or Treat

Trucks, cars, or whatever type of vehicle participants choose to use will be set up and decorated in the parking lot at Forks Assembly of God, 81 Huckleberry Lane, on Halloween from 6-8 p.m.

Each one will have their own theme and will be handing out treats. A route is set up for people to follow so they can stop at each vehicle. This year  some carnival type games have been added in the gymnasium. Everyone is welcome.

 

Halloween Pet Costume Contest

Bring your pet to the Halloween Costume contest from 1-2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, outside Forks Outfitters. The contest entry fee will be by donation of pet food or a monetary donation. Photos of people and/or pets also will be offered by donation. There will be prizes and “treats” for your pet.

No pet? no problem you can still have a photo taken with a “human-sized” cat and/or dog!!

The event is the FHS senior project of Paislee Gilstrap and Alexis Leons. All pets must be on a leash and no pets will be allowed in the store.

All funds/food raised will go to assist Friends of Forks Animals with the great work they do on the West End.

 

Boo Bash is Back

The Forks Elks Lodge will be hosting its 2nd Annual Boo Bash Costume Party and Membership Drive from 9 p.m. until midnight Saturday, Oct. 31. There will be cash prizes for first, second and third Best Costume, dancing, food, 50/50 drawings and a Silent Auction. This event is open to the public and tickets are available for $15 per person at the door, 21 and over with ID. Proceeds benefits Elks charities. The lodge is at 941 Merchant Road.

 

Boo Bash is Back
