On a magical night filled with enchantment and generosity, the “A Crossed Experience: The Autumnal Celebration Masquerade Ball Fundraiser” took place on Sept. 12, 2023, at 7 p.m. Hosted by author MB Thurman, Miller Tree Inn, and Forever Twilight in Forks Festival.The event aimed to support the Forks Hospital Foundation’s mission of purchasing a new mammography machine for Forks Community Hospital.
The fundraiser, which coincided with the release of “Crossed,” the second book in The Summoned Series, welcomed attendees to step into the captivating world of Opimae while showing their support for a noble cause. The event saw approximately 31 ticket holders in attendance, all gathered to make a difference in the community.
With tickets priced at $150 per person and $125 for two or more tickets together, the event raised a total of $3,782.47. A heartwarming gesture came from Nancy Eaton, a generous friend to Forks, who rounded up the amount to a total of $4,000 by contributing an additional $217.53.
Bill and Susan Brager further added to the spirit of giving by donating all the catered items for the event, ensuring that every dollar raised would go directly to the Forks Hospital Foundation’s fundraising efforts.
The Forks Hospital Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization committed to providing compassionate, high-quality healthcare in the West End. Their mission focuses on enhancing healthcare facilities, acquiring state-of-the-art equipment and technology, developing new programs and services, promoting health education, and extending community outreach.
This autumnal celebration, bringing together the FTF community, The Summoned Series fans, and philanthropists, was a resounding success, not only in celebrating the release of a new book but also in contributing to the betterment of healthcare services in the West End. The funds raised will play a crucial role in ensuring that Forks Community Hospital can continue to provide vital mammography services to the community.
