Another Busy Weekend -Breakfast with Santa and the Grinch Movie

It was another busy weekend as the annual Breakfast with Santa activity took place at the Forks Congregational Church on Saturday morning. Almost 300 breakfasts were served in the three hours! Santa made his grand entrance about 15 minutes after 8 a.m. and was kept busy the entire time with lots of Christmas wishes and many photos. About 100 photos were taken and printed out. The annual Breakfast with Santa is sponsored by the Congregational Church and West End Business and Professional Association.

After a mad cleanup, from breakfast, the Church was transformed for a Free movie. Activities started at 1 p.m. with crafts, snacks, a sing-a-long, and photos. The Grinch was available for photo ops before the movie. Many parents and kids came in their PJs and enjoyed the activities. The movie was sponsored by the Congregational Church, FHS Culinary 2 Students, Miller Tree Inn, NOLS Forks, Spartan Plumber, WEBPA, and Forks Chamber.

Sometimes meeting Santa can be scary. A few who came to breakfast weren’t so sure …but Raleigh had no problem and the result was this great photo. Submitted photo

Community members ages 15 to 50-plus took time to volunteer at the annual Breakfast with Santa last Saturday. Church members/volunteers cooked the breakfast, students from the FCCLA/FHS Culinary Class helped serve, and WEBPA members manned the door and took and printed photos. When it was all over … a group photo! Submitted photo
