The West End Thunder drag racing association has announced its summer 2011 racing schedule.

The Saturday-Sunday racing weekends are staged at the Forks Municipal Airport located along Highway 101 south of downtown Forks. Five race dates are set.

West End Thunder is working on an agreement with the Federal Aviation Administration to allow for future use of the Forks Municipal Airport for the popular drag races. An agreement worked out with the FAA with the help of the City of Forks is set to expire. Thousands of spectators along with drag racers and their families and friends drive to Forks from areas outside the West End to attend the races.

The next West End Thunder meeting is set for Thursday,  Feb. 10 at 110 Business Park.
