County Mails Special Election Ballots-Hospital District Levy and School Levy on the ballot

Approximately 7,000 registered voters within Hospital District 1, Crescent School District 313, and Cape Flattery School District 401 will be included in Clallam County’s Feb. 13, 2024, Special Election. Active registered voters in the Hospital District and the two School Districts will receive ballots.

Ballots were mailed to registered voters, on Wednesday, Jan. 24. Election Day is Tuesday, Feb. 13.

Need to Register? Update your address? Check on the status of your ballot? Visit www.votewa.gov. Many of your Election questions can be answered by logging into your Online Voter Registration Portal through VoteWA.gov.

The deadline to update your information by mail or online is February 5. You may register to vote or update your registration in person through February 13 at the Elections and Voter Registration Office, Room 042 (Basement Level), 223 E 4th St, Port Angeles. Office hours are 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. On Election Day, February 13 we are open until 8:00 p.m.

Cape Flattery Levy – The Cape Flattery School District has put a four-year $1.8 million educational programs and operations replacement levy on Clallam County’s Feb. 13 special election ballot.

The levy would cost taxpayers $1.84 per $1,000 in assessed property value over the next four years when the current levy expires in 2024. It would collect $439,860 in 2024 for 2025; $453,055 in 2025 for 2026; $466,647 in 2026 for 2027; and $480,646 in 2027 for 2028.
