Nathen Brock (left) gave his father Darren Brock a big basket of goodies for Father’s Day on Sunday, June 17. He bought tickets in the drawing to support his two sisters who are cheerleaders. Nathan won the goodies from the Lady Spartan Cheerleaders’ fund-raiser drawing held Sunday morning. The drawing raised almost $2,000 in two days to help send 17 cheerleaders to camp. A total of over $500 in prizes were donated from community businesses including Forks Outfitters, True Value, local hair salons, Jerry’s Rentals, Forks Coffee Shop, Whiteheads Car-Quest, B&P Auto, Subway 76, Sweet Peas Bakery and more. Funds from the drawing go towards the cheer squad’s summertime cheer camp at Wolf Lodge in Grand Mound. The cheerleaders will be learning new stunts and competing against squads from the state the week of June 25, plus enjoying some waterpark fun.
