Rainfest weekend held April 19-21 featured many artful activities at the Rainforest Arts Center. Activities were sponsored by the Rainforest Council for the Arts.

Good Samaritan Foundation representatives and local volunteers gathered at the Congregational Church fellowship hall, filling 475 shoeboxes for the Operation Christmas Child program. The team, which included Deborah and Marty Dillion with Don Lawley, completed their work in just two hours on Saturday morning.
