Dam Wrestling Camp to Feature Top Talent

The Quillayute Valley School District, will host the Dam Wrestling Camp, set to take place at Forks High School from July 20-22. The camp promises to be a valuable opportunity for local wrestlers to learn from some of the best in the sport.

Quillayute Valley School District Athletic Director, Kyle Weekley, shared his enthusiasm for the upcoming event:

“The Dam Wrestling Camp will be held at Forks High School from July 20-22, and we are thrilled to have some esteemed guests joining us.”

The camp will be led by Chris Pendleton, the Head Coach from Oregon State, who will be joined by several of his NCAA Division I wrestlers. This presents a unique and invaluable opportunity for young athletes to learn advanced wrestling techniques.

“We are incredibly fortunate to have Chris Pendleton, the Head Coach from Oregon State, leading the camp along with several of his NCAA Division I wrestlers. This is a unique and invaluable opportunity for our young athletes to learn wrestling techniques from some of the best in the sport,” Weekley noted.

The organization of the camp has been a collaborative effort. Phil Sifuentes has played a crucial role in making the event possible through his extensive networking efforts, which were instrumental in securing the commitment of Coach Pendleton and his team.

“A lot of credit for making this event possible goes to Phil Sifuentes. His networking efforts have been instrumental in securing the commitment from Coach Pendleton and his team to come out to Forks,” Weekley said.

Additionally, Daniel Frishkorn, the current Head High School Coach at Forks, has a personal connection with Coach Pendleton, having competed alongside him at Oklahoma State. This relationship has further facilitated the organization of the camp.

“Additionally, our current Head High School Coach, Daniel Frishkorn, has a special connection with Coach Pendleton, having competed as an athlete at Oklahoma State alongside him. This connection has undoubtedly played a role in bringing this incredible opportunity to our small community,” Weekley added.

The Dam Wrestling Camp is expected to be a transformative experience for local wrestlers, providing them with the chance to learn from and interact with high-level athletes and coaches.

“We believe this camp will be a fantastic experience for our local wrestlers and are excited to see the positive impact it will have,” Weekley concluded.
