Forks Old Fashioned 4th of July Parade

Summer arrived on the 4th of July. Although compared to last year the temperature was better but still lots of sunburns!

This year’s Grand Parade offered about 70 entries and featured several entries that paid tribute to those no longer with us.

With the passing of Erik Andersen, his family brought out his red Kenworth which appeared for the last time and will be placed in a museum in Oregon.

Another entry by Jacob Hoschar remembered former Forks school employee Pete Haubrick.

Many politicians participated and for the first time in many years the Jefferson County Rhody Festival Float joined in; taking home a number of awards.
