FMS October Students of the Month

5th Grade: Emory Millett

Emory likes the color pink. Her favorite food is ham and potatoes. Emory likes horses and crocheting in her freetime. Her favorite subject this year is Social Studies. Emory likes school because she thinks it is really fun. Emory’s teachers say, “Emory is one of my hardest working students, and likes to stay caught up with her work. She is a girl who is kind to everyone, respectful to peers and staff, and is willing to help in any way she can. She also has a good sense of humor, and I like that trait in my students.” One teacher reported, “Emory consistently tries her best on assignments. She is a kind, respectful and responsible student who can be depended on to do the right thing.” This year Emory wants to have a good year. She would like to thank her mom for always supporting her. Great job Emory!

6th Grade: Alex Leask

Alex’s favorites include the colors blue and black, pandas, math, and chocolate as her favorite food. In her freetime Alex enjoys playing games. Alex likes school because of the friends she makes here. Alex’s teachers all agree that she is a kind, polite, respectful, and hardworking student. One teacher reported that, “I always get a ‘hi’ and a smile from her during passing time.” Another teacher commented, “Alex Leask is a kind and caring young lady. She is always helpful and willing to show empathy and compassion to others. Alex loves to learn and has great ideas in class. She sets a wonderful example to everyone around her!” One more note from a teacher is, “Alex Leask has demonstrated exceptional dedication and hard work this month, consistently going above and beyond in both academics and personal growth. Her positive attitude and commitment to helping others make her a true role model. She makes our class fun!” Alex has set the goal to get on the honor roll all year this year. Alex would like to thank her dad for supporting her. Keep up the great work Alex!

7th Grade: Sofia Huling

Sofia likes cats, math, and the color purple. Her favorite food is ice cream. In her freetime she likes to participate in sports, specifically, basketball, cross country, and track. Sofia likes school because she gets to learn and socialize. One staff member said, “Sofia is a kind and hardworking student who sets a great example for behavior in the classroom”. As Sofia’s former coach, “Sofia works extra hard on growth and progress. She wants to do better and is willing to seek advice and then listen to the advice given. She strives to reach goals in and out of the classroom.” One of Sofia’s teachers commented, “Sofia is a polite, soft spoken student. She is on top of everything from being a student, musician, and athlete.”Sofia wants to excel in school and get good grades this year. She would like to thank her parents for always supporting her. Way to go Sofia!

8th Grade: Kaylee Roberts

Kaylee’s favorite colors are blue and yellow. Her favorite food is Mac & Cheese. Her favorite animal is a dog, and this year her favorite class is CTE(Career Technical Education). In her freetime, Kaylee likes to do cheerleading. She likes school because she likes to see her friends and likes yearbook class. Her goal this year is to get on the honor roll all 4 quarters. Kaylee’s teachers said, “Kaylee is the 8th grade class President. She is a hard worker in class and is active in trying to make school a better place for all.” Another teacher noted, “Kaylee is an enthusiastic go-getter and an amazing young adult. She never hesitates to pitch in and help when needed, and usually without being asked. She is very deserving of this recognition.” Kaylee would like to thank her mom for always supporting her. Congratulations Kaylee!
