A voucher program at Ginger’s Closet & Disaster Relief can help provide clothing and home linens to those in need. The $50 vouchers exclude pink-tagged items priced at $5 or more as well as Mendful products and locally crafted items.
All items will be placed on a voucher at regular cost (percentage of sales or fill-a-bag sales do not apply).
How to receive a voucher
Residents of Forks and the West End (from west of Port Angeles down to Queets, including Hoh, Makah, Quileute and Quinault Tribes) with income within 200% of the federal poverty guidelines are eligible to apply. If you receive TANF, Apple Health/Medicaid, food stamps or use the food bank, you are instantly qualified.
How does it work?
Simply apply and start shopping! Approval is instant in most cases, and applicants’ information is kept confidential. The voucher does not have to be used all at once. Ginger’s Closet & Disaster Relief keeps track of voucher balances.
How often can I get a new voucher?
New vouchers can be obtained every six months. Students are also eligible for annual back-to-school vouchers.
Who funds the vouchers?
Vouchers for Ginger’s Closet & Disaster Relief are supported by a blend of grants, direct donations and in-store purchases. Please consider donating clothing and home linens that you no longer need to continue the cycle.
