February 3, 2025 – Forks Broadcasting has introduced “Los 40 Forks”, the first radio station tailored to the growing Hispanic community in the West End. Broadcasting on KBDB 96.7, Channel 4, the station features Billboard’s top Latin music hits and Spanish-language news.
According to the 2020 Census, more than one in six residents in Forks’ 98331 ZIP code identified as Hispanic, though pandemic-related undercounting likely means the actual number is even higher.
“Los 40 Forks” complements Forks Broadcasting’s existing lineup, which includes Forks Talk (news/talk) on Channel 3, Real Country and major sports coverage (Seahawks, Mariners, Kraken, NFL, NCAA) on Channel 2, and Twilight 96.7, the primary FM station for today’s hits and yesterday’s favorites.
Forks Broadcasting Executive Mark Lamb emphasized the importance of community involvement in making the new station a success. Lamb said, “We’re excited to launch a brand new channel addressing a substantial and unserved West End audience.” Forks Broadcasting is seeking bilingual talented associates to localize and drive this Hispanic radio venture.
For those without HD radios or outside the broadcast area, Los 40 Forks is available for streaming at Los40Forks.com.
Forks Broadcasting, headquartered in the West End, is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
