Ever wonder what a Mayor does? This is your chance to find out!
Enter to win the Title of Mini-Mayor of Forks for a Day as well as other prizes. This is the perfect way to get your kids involved in the community, it’s also a great way for older kids to add to their college applications.
1st Place will win:
A day with Mayor Tim Fletcher acting as Mini-Mayor of Forks
A 1st place medal
A Mayor’s ribbon
Certificate of Achievement
A gift certificate to a local restaurant
2nd and 3rd Place will receive:
Medals
Certificates of Achievement
All participants will receive participation ribbons.
Contest ends on June 1st.
Open to all kids in Forks and the surrounding Forks area ages 4 to 18.
How to enter:
All you need to do to enter is volunteer and post photos and stories (or have your parents post for you) about your service on Facebook or Instagram using the #forkskidscare hashtag.
You may also send your photos/stories to us directly on Facebook or Instagram at:

If you don’t have social media, you can also email your photos or stories to:

Each post or submission is one entry into the contest, you may enter an unlimited number of times. Winners will be determined by random draw of all entries. The more entries you have the better the chance of winning!
Winners will be contacted through their social media or email accounts.
Volunteer service can include any service not done for money or school credit that benefits the community.
Some ideas of service you can do includes:
Collecting donations for Ginger’s Closet, Sarge’s, Mariposa House, Forks Food bank or other local charity
Volunteering at your church
Volunteering at any charitable organization in the Forks area
Picking up trash in the neighborhood
Volunteering to tutor other kids
Helping neighbors in need with things like weed pulling or leaf raking
Creating personal projects like baking cookies for local police, firemen, mailmen, garbage collectors or other community members.
Sort and recycle trash
Write thank you cards to veterans or civil servants in the community
Do a beach or forest clean-up
Start a community garden
Help make our community better and enter today!
