Monday, July 25 Location: La Push
11 a.m. Parade — All are welcome, line-up starts at Quileute Natural Resources at 10:30 a.m.
11:30 a.m. Gather at Akalat Center — food and friendship, workshops for all ages including cedar weaving
2 p.m. Show at Akalat Center — jugglers, band, acrobats
Monday, July 25 Location: Bogachiel State Park
4-6 p.m. Workshops (History of the Quileutes and the Morganroth Family on the river, Native Fish 101), plus entertainment, ranger tales, nature walk
6-8 p.m. Community Potluck with Chautauqua. Bring your chairs, blankets, your own table setting, something yummy to share and your instruments.
Tuesday, July 26 Location: Forks
Noon Parade — All are welcome, starts behind the RAC, 35 N. Forks Ave., at 11:30 a.m.
1:30-3:30 p.m. Workshops at RAC (juggling, tap dancing, history lectures, acrobatics, qigong, stilt walking, magic, conducting, quilting, marimba, ukulele and more.
7 p.m. Big Show at the RAC — Fantastic feats of daring and belly laughs; Forkestra plays with Chautauqua
Wednesday, July 27 Location: La Push
4:30 p.m. Baseball game — Quileutes vs. Chautauqua
8 p.m. Swing dance, live music, everyone invited!
** The “workshops” will be 45-60 minute classes that will be offered at the RAC on the afternoon of July 26, after the parade. Learn tap dancing, juggling, ukulele, acrobatics, marimba, stilt walking, clowning, qigong, make a greeting card, how to fold a fitted sheet and three history talks; coastal shipwreck, Behind Barbed Wire (Japanese internment camp story) and the Doctrine of Discovery (justification for colonialization).
There also will be small “shows” at Long Term Care and Sunshine Rainbows and a service project at Sarge’s Place.
