Clallam County Sheriff’s Detectives have arrested 36 year old Sedro-Woolley resident Marshall Jay Lewis for Arson in the First Degree, Residential Burglary Domestic Violence, Telephone Harassment, and Disclosing Intimate Images.
Lewis was arrested at his home following the service of a search warrant at his residence this morning by Clallam County Sheriff’s Detectives; assisted by the City of Sedro-Woolley Police Department. Lewis’ arrest is a result of several weeks of investigation into the 2016 New Year’s Day fire that significantly damaged a Beaver area residence at 201821 State Route 101.
Sheriff’s Detectives developed probable cause for Lewis’ arrest after serving search warrants for cell phone data and other evidence which further led Detectives to Lewis. Lewis is being transported by sheriff’s detectives back to Clallam County where he will be booked into the Clallam County Jail.
Lewis is currently registered as a Level 1 sex offender in Skagit County. Lewis’ registration requirement comes from a 2010 Rape in the Third Degree conviction in Snohomish County Superior Court. The case is being forwarded to the Clallam County Prosecutor’s Office for a formal charging decision. RCW: 9A.48.020, 9A.52.025, 9A,86.010,
