A pickup rollover accident occurred at the Swanson Creek construction site on US Highway 101 on Thursday afternoon Sept. 1 at approximately 4:25 p.m. The Clallam County Sheriffs Dept., Washington State Patrol, Forks medics, fire department personnel along with other law enforcement officers were at the scene. Swanson Creek is located between Maxfield and Iverson roads where a culvert is being installed.

The construction zone is only one lane and at times managed by flaggers and at other times a stop light directs traffic through the area where the work is being done. The driver of the vehicle is seen in the photo standing with his back to the camera. Photo by Lonnie Archibald.
