GRANICUS, a company out of Denver, has contracted with the county to stream the videos as well as archive the meetings while the county retains the right of ownership of the materials. County Commissioners’ meetings can also be viewed live. As you watch the video the agenda and any other documents that are being discussed can also be viewed. The program also has a searchable function that can take the viewer directly to the part of the meeting that they are interested in.

It is hoped that the new service will also help with public records requests.

Future possibilities could include the ability for citizens to give public comment and not have to leave their communities.
