The Clallam County Sheriff’s Department has announced upcoming Neighborhood Watch meetings set for Forks and Clallam Bay.
• Forks Neighborhood Watch Meeting, Saturday, Jan. 28 from 1 – 3 p.m. at the Forks District Courthouse, Forks City Hall, 502 E. Division Street.
This meeting will focus on Crime Prevention, Animal Control Issues and Code Enforcement Issues. The Clallam County Sheriff’s Office is hosting this meeting in partnership with the Forks Police Department and there will be representatives from both agencies at the meeting. Additionally, Code Enforcement and the Sheriff’s Community Policing Team will be in attendance. • Clallam Bay Neighborhood Watch Meeting, Tuesday, Jan. 24, from 7 – 9 p.m. at the Clallam Bay Library, 16990 Hwy 112, Clallam Bay.
This meeting will be an overview of our programs and services that we offer and attending will be a Command Staff representative (Sheriff or Undersheriff), an area Deputy, the Code Enforcement Manager, and the Community Policing Team. We will cover the Neighborhood Watch program and why it has proven beneficial to reducing crime in areas, how to “Target Harden” your home and property to prevent becoming a victim of crime, how to communicate and report incidents to the Sheriff’s Office and information on our code enforcement program.
