Dear Editor,

To the actors/actresses/parents, school staff, fire department, Missoula Children’s Theater, and guests,

I learned today that my 3-year-old daughter pulled the fire alarm during the 5:30 p.m. show of the Missoula Children’s Theater play, causing the play to stop so everyone could evacuate the school.

I sincerely apologize for the disruption it caused and for not keeping a closer eye on her while she was playing in the foyer with her cousin. I know that it terrified some of the little actors/actresses, caused school maintenance staff and the fire department to respond, and some visitors to leave because they were too cold standing outside waiting for the building to be cleared. I am very embarrassed and we are truly sorry!
