Evelyn Eileen Cook, 67, of Crescent City, Calif., died on Dec. 9, 2017, from complications related to ovarian cancer.
She was born August 2, 1950, in Indianapolis, Indiana to Dr. William David Simpson, M.D., and Evelyn Mae Wentworth Simpson, R.N. She lived for many years in Kauai, Hawaii before retiring to Crescent City. She looked forward to Heaven and did not fear death.
She is survived by her husband, author Christopher L. Cook of Kauai, and two sons, Christian R. Cook of New York City and David L. Cook (Christine) of Kauai, as well as a brother, David Simpson (Kati) and two sisters, Sibyl Simpson and Veronica Simpson.
A celebration of her life was held at New Life Community Church, 424 Second St., Crescent City, on Saturday, Dec. 16, at 1 p.m.
