Two local fifth- and sixth-grade girls basketball teams will play in front of about 4,000 fans at the Hec Ed Pavilion on the University of Washington campus Sunday, Feb. 25 at 3 p.m. Both teams will get VIP seats for the Washington Husky – California Golden Bears PAC 12 Conference game. At halftime, both teams will scrimmage each other.
The game will be televised on the PAC 12 Network. The Lake Quinault Elks High School girls team is also attending the game. This will be the fifth time a Neah Bay Girls youth team has played at the University of Washington or at Key Arena before a Storm game. This will be the second time a Forks Youth League girls team has played at the UW.
Players for the Forks team are Keira Johnson, Katelynn Wallerstedt, Rowan Ball, Peyton Johnson, Raven Penn, Byrnn Daniels, Elizabeth Soto and Elianna Dixon. Coaches are Willie Johnson and Carlos Soto.
