The event was sponsored by West End Thunder, Forks Lions Club, Dahlgren Logging, and the City of Forks.

Good Samaritan Foundation representatives and local volunteers gathered at the Congregational Church fellowship hall, filling 475 shoeboxes for the Operation Christmas Child program. The team, which included Deborah and Marty Dillion with Don Lawley, completed their work in just two hours on Saturday morning.
