The Forks basketball program honored former Spartan Ron Bagby with his induction into the Spartan Basketball Hall of Fame last Friday night. Bagby finished his career with many honors including first team Far West League and he still holds the single-game record of 52 points (before the-3 point line).
During his Spartan career, Bagby was also first-team running back, 100-meter state champ and a top 10 decathlon finish at state track meet. After high school, Bagby continued his athletic career playing football at the University of Puget Sound where he lead NCAA DII in punt returns, also starring as a defensive back and running back.
Bagby now lives and teaches in the Coupeville area with his wife Marie where he has coached basketball, football and track. He and Marie have four children.
Bagby is a role model for Spartan basketball not only in his outstanding play but also in his qualities and values on and off the court.
