Former Forks resident Brenda Carlsen shared the following with the Forks Forum:

“I have had a Children’s book published and it is called ‘Wascana’s Amazing Journey.’

It is about an injured Canada goose whose wing becomes injured as he is flying south for the winter. It is a story about healing, friendship, compassion and letting go, as Wascana must stay behind for the winter. It is a fun and funny book also as Wascana finds himself on his own journey!

I already have some signings and readings lined up in Forks so watch for those dates coming up.”
