August 11, 1941 – April 13, 2019

Bonnie was a 48 year resident of Forks; she was born in Lincoln, Arkansas, in 1941. She died at the age of 77. Born a country girl and died a country girl.

She met and married her husband, Tom, in 1958. They were married for 61 years. She was his entire world and they were devoted to each other. She loved him so much.

Bonnie had ongoing interests in gardening, reading, quilting and cooking, however, she enjoyed her garden the most.

She loved her mom and dad to the ends of the world. She was a daddy’s girl. She hated fishing; too cold she would say. But she loved her dad more so they went fishing all the time. She had a full life.

Bonnie was a member of the Assembly of God Church, in Forks, where she and her entire family attended since 1973. She

Jesus with all her heart.

She worked hard her entire life. Canning, waitressing, blueprint reading, self-taught electrical layperson, carpenter,

swimming pool and pond builder. If she needed it done, she did it herself. Self-sufficient to the grave. Eventually, she went

back to college and settled in on nursing. Nursing was her major accomplishment. She was very proud to be an RN at the Forks Community Hospital.

Many of her friends came to visit in the last weeks of her life. A common comment was “She was my best friend” To the

people of Forks let it be said, “that you all were her best friends”.

She was proud of and loved, greatly, the community and residents of Forks.

She is survived by husband, Tom Rogers; son, Tom Rogers, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Shelley Rogers; of Issaquah; and grandson Christopher John Rogers, of Pasadena, California; and her two adopted grandchildren, Faith Phillips and Samuel Stone. She loved them all greatly.

Bonnie is also survived by her sister, Mary Wood; and brother, Jack Johnson; along with many nephews and nieces.

She is preceded in death by a son, Steve Rogers; brother, Lewis Johnson; father, Henry Johnson and mother, Evelyn Johnson.

Services will be held June 29, at 1 PM, at Forks Assembly of God, 81 Huckleberry Ln., Forks, WA 98331
