Services provided to children and pregnant/postpartum people

The Arcora Foundation – SmileMobile, a brightly painted 39-foot dental clinic on wheels, will return to Forks, March 9-13.

Last year, the SmileMobile provided two dental clinics and saw more than 140 patients.

This year, SmileMobile dentist Jennifer Domagalski and team will provide oral health education, dental examinations, cleanings, fluoride varnish, sealants, fillings, and simple extractions.

The SmileMobile provides care to babies (first tooth) up through high school age and to pregnant/postpartum people with Apple Health and those who are uninsured.

Oral health affects overall health and well-being. Children with severe cavities have difficulty eating, sleeping and learning. The germs that cause cavities are infectious and can be passed from parents to children. That is why it is so important to get dental treatment during pregnancy. The good news is that cavities and oral disease are preventable.

The SmileMobile, travels the state year-round and since 1995 has provided care to more than 45,000 patients in underserved communities throughout Washington.
