Dear Spartan Parents & Students,
I am pleased to welcome you back to the 2021-22 school year! Administration and staff are looking forward to having all our students back in person! First day of school is Wednesday, September 1 with first period beginning at 8:15 a.m. All staff and students will be required to wear a mask and adhere to all health and safety guidelines as mandated by the state while on campus. Updates and changes in the health & safety guidelines will be communicated promptly.

Our teachers and staff understand that part of our student’s success relies heavily on the support offered at school and at home and realize that a strong partnership with you will make a difference in your student’s education. I am certain that our common responsibility for our student’s success will provide rewarding outcomes as the year progresses no matter the challenges.
Here are a couple of important upcoming events to put on your calendar:
• FHS student add/drop week is August 16 – August 20 from 9 a.m. – 4 a.m. in the FHS counseling center.
• Freshman Orientation is August 26 at 6 p.m. in the FHS commons.
During the freshman orientation, parents and freshmen will tour the school and will have the opportunity to ask specific questions regarding their student’s upcoming year.
In addition, parents and freshmen will become familiarized with important school rules and guidelines, including:
Tardy policy
Discipline procedures
Dress code
Food/beverage rules
Excused absence policies
Bus information
School counselor information
