On Sunday, Forks Chamber Director Lissy Andros and I stopped in at the new Forks Dollar Plus store and met owner Paula Loghry.
With much anticipation, the store opened this past week, and Loghry said the reception has been amazing.
“The first day, people were hugging me and crying, it was very emotional,” she said.
She added she is loving the small town reaction and was worried the first day she might sell everything, it was so busy!
Dollar Plus stores offer the traditional dollar store, along with the ability to offer additional or expanded categories of merchandise not possible within the single dollar pricing structure.
Loghry is using about half the building space, at 520 S. Forks Ave., (across from the Forks Transit Center) and has plans to expand as the business grows.
The store is open daily 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
