We are all concerned about Homelessness in Forks and the West End. We want to be part of the solution and so the whole State is counting those people who are living in makeshift shelters, in sub-grade housing, with no electricity and moldy walls, or who have a tragic circumstance and are in danger of eviction.
If you know a couch surfing person who is moving from home to home to sleep at night, bring them down. It makes much more sense to get these people in shelter, clean and sober, off our streets and out of our emergency rooms.
We are planning, on Jan. 28, to count our homeless population and to connect with them. There will be soup and sandwiches for everybody.
Please, if you know of a homeless person, bring them, take some flyers and spread them around or just come and help. The whole State will be doing a count that day. Please make ours in Forks a success and an accurate count of the people who are homeless here.
