The Compassionate Friends is an international organization providing support for families who experience the death of a child. The North Olympic Peninsula Chapter of TCF, with members from Forks to Port Townsend, as well as Sequim and Port Angeles, meets at St Lukes church in Sequim at 6 p.m. every third Tuesday except in December, when they share the annual Candle Lighting Service the second Sunday – a world-wide TCF event. The Candle Lighting Service will be held at Eastern Hills Community Church, 91 Savannah Lane, off Carlsborg Road in Sequim, on Sunday, Dec. 11, at 6:30 p.m. The Candle Lighting Service is a remembrance service for families that have experienced the death of a child. In honoring the memory of these children, TCF hopes to provide comfort during what many bereaved families find a difficult time of year.
TFC is a non-profit, volunteer-driven group. For questions of more information contact Kayla Hansen at 360-640-8722.
