FHS Students of Character – November

Michael Pitts

When I ask Michael to do something, no matter what the task is, I know it will get done without any hesitation. He is very trustworthy.

Mr. Winger

Sawyer Graham

Sawyer has consistently demonstrated an excellent level of dependability and integrity. When Sawyer gives his word, you can be certain that he will follow through, and his peers and teachers alike have come to rely on him for his steadfastness in every endeavor he pursues.

Sawyer upholds a standard of honesty and reliability that sets him apart from his compatriots but does not alienate them. He is not only consistent in his actions but also transparent and sincere in his communication, he generally presents himself with a high level of integrity. For these reasons, I wholeheartedly recommend Sawyer for this recognition and am proud of the work the young man has put into developing the trait of trustworthy.

Amari Penn

I have found Amari to be deserving of trust, consistently reliable, and unwaveringly honest. She is worthy of trust because she never fails to follow through with the things she says she will do.

Not only can you trust that she will do it, but if she says she’s going to do it, you can count on her doing it to the best of her ability. Unlike many of her peers, who so easily succumb to external pressures and distractions, Amari consistently adheres to a set of internalized principles that guide her behavior and decision-making. This speaks also to her reliability, because you can depend on her to be serious about the tasks she takes on, to be consistent in her pursuit of her goals, and to show up until they are accomplished. Finally, Amari is honest about what she is willing and able to do and is not interested in sugarcoating a situation or placating people to make them feel good. She lets you know how it is. I am proud of her for being so trustworthy and for developing the confidence to be her authentic self.

My son always speaks so highly of the time he spends with you, and I can see how much of a positive impact you’ve had. Thank you for being such a reliable and thoughtful person—you truly make a difference, not just for my family but for everyone around you.

Dear Fynlie,

I want you to know how much I appreciate your trustworthiness and the care you bring to everything you do. Your patience and kindness shine through, especially when babysitting my son during FCCLA events. It’s not always easy to find someone who genuinely connects with kids the way you do, but you have such a natural ability to make them feel safe and happy. My son always comes home with a smile, and that means the world to me. Dear Devin,

I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for always being someone people can count on. Whether it’s lending a hand to someone in need or stepping up to jumpstart a truck on a Friday afternoon, your willingness to help never goes unnoticed. It’s rare to find someone so dependable and selfless, and it says a lot about your character. You’re the kind of person who makes challenges easier for others, and that’s something to be proud of. Thank you for always showing up when it matters most—you truly make a difference!
