Jessica Rangel saw a need in our community and decided to take action. “We have so many ODs, so many struggling with thoughts of suicide,” Rangel explained. Wanting to show that people care, she reached out to the Forks Food Bank for support. With the help of Sena at the Food Bank and a group of friends from other agencies, they began offering free sack lunches every Friday from noon to 1 p.m. at the Forks Transit Center.
On Friday, September 27, the free lunch program will move to Tillicum Park, where it will take on a Suicide Prevention theme from noon to 3 p.m. Rangel shared, “This is just the beginning…”
