Prince of Peace Lutheran Church welcomes Don Corson as Minister in 2022

Sunday, Jan. 9, Prince of Peace Lutheran Church welcomed Don Corson as their minister for 2022. Don is interning as a deacon (minister of word and service) and enthusiastically agreed to serve the Forks congregation during his internship. He is also authorized by the SW Washington Synod to provide Holy Communion during worship.

Don is delighted to be helping the congregation renew its vision and future commitments during this time. Don leads in-person worship the first three Sundays of each month. Lay members conduct worship the fourth and occasional fifth Sunday.

Prince of Peace Lutheran offers an open invitation to community members to come and worship with them and meet Don while you are there. Sunday worship begins at 10 am followed by a brief coffee time in the fellowship hall. Masks are required in the church building.

The congregation also gave a big thank you in January to Mike Hanson and his wife Elaine. Mike served as interim pastor in 2021 after Pastor Pam Hunter retired, conducting many a zoom worship service and coming out in person from Poulsbo at least once a month. Elaine led hymns during zoom worship and offered special instrumental solos during in-person worship.

Prince of Peace Lutheran Church is located at 250 Blackberry Avenue, near Tillicum Park. Messages can be left at 360-374-6343. Please be patient for return calls as there is no office secretary, but the phone is usually checked every few days.
