Monday, April 22 was a wet one, so the Bogachiel Garden Club rescheduled its tour of life member Shirley Sharpes’ 10 acres off Fuhrman Road to sunny Wednesday the April 24.
This meant a smaller show of members, but Marlene and Emma Mendenhall, Laurie Jo Porter, and Katie Krueger made it to see native trillium, skunk cabbage, and oxalis in bloom along the creek, as well as a wonderful little grove of apple trees and stands of salmonberries. Thanks to Nora Alwarth, who arranged the tour, although she could not attend on the new date.
