PORT ANGELES, WA – Be prepared for an hour of belly laughs when standup, improv, and old-timey music take the stage at Peninsula College’s Little Theater on Wednesday, March 13 starting at noon.
Veteran improvisers from Everett Improv, a comedy club that won the “Best Comedy Club” award in the Pacific Northwest, will perform alongside Peninsula College (PC) students while the jug band Dumpster Joe plucks Jazz Age tunes.
Britney Barber—owner, performer, writer, and improv teacher from Everett Improv—will listen to PC students’ comedy skits and act out spinoff scenes.
Dumpster Joe, Taylor Moon, and their band will play interludes of 1920s and 1930s hokum blues, hillbilly tunes, and jazz accompanied by guitar, harmonica, washtub bass, washboards, fiddles, and saxophones.
The Comedy Variety Hour may contain adult content.
This event is free and open to the public. Donations will be accepted.
The show is made possible through the generous support of Peninsula College’s Associated Student Council.
