‘Twas the night before Christmas (Bigfoot version)

‘Twas the night before Christmas, and all down the street

People were social distancing, at least by six feet;

The stockings were hung by the big screen with care,

In hopes that the Fed-Ex guy soon would be there;

The children were nestled all snug in their beds,

While visions of unicorns danced in their heads;

And Pappa on his ipad and me on my phone,

Had settled in to binge-watch Yellowstone,

When out on the lawn I heard such a sound,

I ran to the window to see what was around.

When what to my wondering eyes did I meet,

A big hairy fella with really big feet!

As he jumped around I decided to watch,

But I knew in a moment, it was Sasquatch.

And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof,

Prancing and pawing, but I needed proof.

As I drew in my head and was turning around,

Down the chimney came Sasquatch with a bound.

He was dressed all in fur, from his head to his foot,

And now he was covered in ashes and soot.

His eyes-how they twinkled, his teeth were sort of yellow,

But I wasn’t afraid of this really big fellow.

He quickly gave me a look, then a really big smile,

And then told me all about his FBI file.

A wink of his eye and a twist of his head;

Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread.

He spoke not a word, but went straight to work;

He ate all the cookies then turned with a jerk.

Back To the chimney, he was afraid to get stuck,

He twisted and turned and tried to duck;

So, out the front door, he went with a bound,

His big feet landed both flat on the ground.

I heard him exclaim as he ran down the block,

“You should have filmed me and put it on TikTok!”
