Today, I tried to find the gymnasium. No luck at all. All buildings are labelled with copies of the same sign, “Administration.”
I was at the meeting with the Navy and feel the need to respond to other letters to the editor. The young man that is so concerned about the electronic warfare needs to be informed. My sister, husband and I have all lived through three wars, World War II, Korean and Vietnam, plus the 6-day war, Iraq, Iran and Afghanistan.
My husband Bill White and I, as leaders of the First Nations Riders Horse 4-H Club, requested that Isabele Pullen be considered for a very coveted award, the Janet Fry Award.
This year’s election is very important for the West End and I feel it is critical that we all get out to vote. We have the opportunity to elect a county commissioner who lives in the West End and has the ability and knowledge to represent us well.
The elected position of director of Clallam County Department of Community Development requires leadership, knowledge of the county, state and federal codes and ordinances, and the budget and personnel management of multi-discipline department.
There is a little notice on one of the windows in the post office informing us that the Navy is installing a “Pacific Northwest Warfare Range.”
It gave very little information on what it is, what it will do to the residents of this area, or our animals, plants air or health.
It doesn’t tell us if it will interfere with our electronic equipment.

Everyone in town should be very proud of our Long Term Care Facility at Forks Community Hospital. For the third year in a row they have had deficiency-free survey inspections from the Department of Social and Health Services.
