19th Annual Twinkle Light Holiday Parade

Neither snow, nor rain, nor wind, nor COVID-19 can stop the annual Twinkle Light Holiday Parade …this year the weather was almost balmy! Thanks to all the families that came out to see Santa and the other parade entries… and a huge thank you to all those who participated!

Thanks to the city of Forks crew for setting up the detour signs and thanks to the Forks Police Department for blocking the road, escorting the little train, and helping the community have a little Holiday Cheer in 2020.

Joe and Linda Offut called this entry “Until they all come home” celebrating our men and women in military service who can’t be with their families.

Thanks again to John Witherspoon for going above and beyond and once again decorating this Dilley and Soloman Log Truck! Prior to the parade start the snowman in the back was rocking and rolling but made it through the parade.

The Forks Chamber of Commerce Logging/Mill Tour van has not seen much activity in 2020 as tours have been canceled due to COVID-19 but driver and decorator Richard Halverson took it for a spin Saturday night. His co-pilot Chamber Director Lissy Andros was “bossing him around” his words not mine …and she is his boss ..but he is a volunteer so …?

Steven Grant Hurley brought a Santa look-a-like with his riding lawnmower and trailer. This is his second year being in the parade. It was the first year for Jessica Hurley, on the scooter, seen here behind him, she said she had a great time!

Although Santa was unable to do any one-on-one visits this year he did agree to appear in the 19th Annual Twinkle Light Holiday Parade. With Rick Seguin as the train engineer, after their gig on Forks Avenue, the train (with Rick and Santa) got a police escort to make a special drive-by appearance at Concerned Citizens before the train went back into storage at the Forks Airport and Santa took off to finish any last-minute work before Christmas.
