SIORF presented the Ruby Award to Erica Robinson. This award honors women who, thorough their professional or personal efforts, are making extraordinary differences in the lives of women or girls. Hull Family Fund Scholarship is managed by Soroptimists for the Hull family who operated Peninsula Telecom, the telephone company in Forks for many years. The Hull Family Fund supports many projects for children and families in our community. $1,000 is awarded for each of the following students: Keli Doyle, Kaylene Bailey, Cecelia Estrada-Elena, Britney Dean, Blanca Silva, Kaitlyn White, Iziah Morton

SIORF awards the Violet Richardson Award to a young woman who volunteers in our Forks community or school, and thereby, makes this community a better place. This year’s recipient is Keli Doyle. Keli has volunteered many an hour in her FHS Honor Society leadership positions. Her Senior project, with Friends of Forks Animals, was another way she shared time, talent and hours. She, too, received $250 and Friends of Forks Animals was her designated organization for $250. Pictured with Keli are her parents, representatives from Friends of Forks Animals, and Laura Farrell, SIORF Awards chair.

Vern Rondeau received the Diane Demorest Medical Scholarship. This scholarship was created in memory of longtime Forks resident, medical provider, and Soroptimist member, Diane Demorest. It is awarded to someone pursuing a degree or continuing education in the medical field. Pictured with Vern are his wife and children.
