7th Annual Elwha Bridge 5K / 10K Run Walk

Saturday, February 1, 2025 – 9:30 a.m. at the Elwha Pedestrian Bridge (288 Crown Z Water Road, Port Angeles), the 7th Annual Run the Peninsula Elwha Bridge Run will take place, kicking off the 2025 Run the Peninsula Series.

Approximately 450 participants are expected to run or walk east on the Olympic Discovery Trail, starting at the Elwha Pedestrian Bridge. Participants will turn around at the designated 5K and 10K points and return westward to complete the course. This scenic event is organized by the Port Angeles Marathon Association, the same group that manages the North Olympic Discovery Marathon in June.

The Elwha Bridge Run is made possible by title sponsors Peninsula Daily News and Sequim Gazette and presenting sponsors Olympic Medical Center and the Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe. Proceeds from this event support several local organizations, including the Peninsula Trails Coalition, which builds and maintains the Olympic Discovery Trail.

Bib Pick-Up Information:

Participants can pick up their race bibs at one of the following locations:

Friday, Jan. 31, 2025: Angeles Brewing (115 N Oak St, Port Angeles) from 4:30 PM to 6 p.m.

Saturday, Feb. 1, 2025: Elwha Pedestrian Bridge from 8 a.m.to 9:15 a.m., just prior to the start of the race.

We encourage participants to pick up their bibs on Friday if possible to avoid race-day congestion. However, race-day pick-up will also be available for those unable to attend on Friday.

Parking Information:

There is no on-site parking at the Elwha Pedestrian Bridge. All participants are required to park at Extreme Sports Park (ESP) (2917 W Edgewood Dr, Port Angeles, WA 98363). Puget Sound Express and ESP buses will shuttle participants to the starting area beginning at 8:00 AM. Participants may also be dropped off at the designated “drop-off area” on the west side of the Elwha Bridge.

Traffic Information:

The Elwha Bridge Run has obtained a permit from Clallam County to control traffic at trail intersections with county roads, granting pedestrians the right-of-way during the race. The following intersection will be monitored from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.:
